A Leap of Fate has been through many rounds of edits and revisions with my content editor and good friend Nicki Kraft. It's now in the hands of my new grammar and spelling editor, and again good friend, Bridget Schinker.  As we prepare to send Kate and Troy off to the University of Alabama, I thought a quote from the football coach, recently tweeted by the gymnastics coach, would be appropriate.

A quote from one of my all time favorite gymnasts

My heart broke for Kerri Strug during the 1996 Olympics. She had been my favorite US gymnast since competing with her at the 1991 Buckeye Classic. She was strong and determined; she never gave up. Kerri competed in two Olympics with the same goal... to win the individual all-around gold.  While her life turned out just fine, there is a part of me that wonders if she ever got over the disappointment of not being able to finish out her Olympic dream.
